Honey Rice Bubble Cake

Hi,
Yesterday, we made Honey Rice Bubble cake during maths. We made a presentation about baking measurements. A couple of weeks ago, we hatched a chick. He is such a chirpier!! He chirps all day long! He is very noisy! He sounds like a Rooster to me! The Honey rice bubble cake was so yum! You must be wondering what does this have to do with maths? Well, we used milliliters, Grams, liters, and more! That's how it includes with maths. But, I didn't help at all! Sienna and Mikayla mostly got the biggest turn. But it was so fun eating it!!

Room 17

This year I am in the enviro class. Yesterday, visitors from Te Pahu School came to visit the school to check it out. The first thing the class showed them was a slide presentation. Some of the class read a little script about the chickens. After, some of the readers took the visitors outside to see the chickens, the bees and the growing unit. While they were outside, Mrs T helped us

Spooky Forest

We are using images to help us to create powerful senteces. Here are some of my best powerful sentences.

Glimmers of sunshine trickle through the trees. Murky water splashes as people walk through nervously. Hungry morporks fly ahead, searching for a tasty meal.

Tug o War

DSC02012.JPG

Yesterday two boys delivered a big heavy box to our classroom. What was inside? I wondered mysteriously. "How about after writing we go outside and have a challenge," Mrs Ellis suggested. As soon as we got outside we wondered how long the rope was. "Lets measure how long it is,"Mrs Ellis announced. First we guessed how long it was with out using a metre ruler. Then we used our feet. After that we used a wheel and after every metre it made a tick sound. Guess how long the rope was... 30 metres! Next I pulled the rope round to touch the other end so we could find the middle of the rope. After that Mrs Ellis tied a yellow piece of fabric onto the middle of the rope. Finally the time had come to... have game of tug o war. Half the class went on one side and the other half of the class went on the other side of the rope. As fast as a bolt of lightning we all ran to the side we were directed to. Three, two, one pull! We pulled as hard as we could pull until the fabric crossed the cone. We didn't even win once! Exhausted, we all travelled slowly back to class to have lunch. "That was the best tug o war challange ever!" I told Avleen.

My First Post.

Today I learnt to create a learning blog. I invited Mrs Ellis and Mrs T to admin people to cheak that the comments are appropriate. I learnt that web addresses only use lowercase letters. The importance of saving your work after you have finished. The jazzy part is when you get to change the font and background. I found out how to get onto a blog.
